wildman
Hi my son who is 13 is really interested in shooting and all things to do with the country. He beats on two local shoots and we go to the local clay ground as often as possible, his career aim at the moment is to be a game keeper, although i would want him to get a trade and shoot as a hobbie. I encourage him as much as possible ,taking up shooting so i can accompany him to the clay ground, what he would like to do next is to do some driven shooting or some rough shooting . How do i get him AND myself involved in this side of the sport,i find it difficult finding this out as i,m new many thanks
mattyb
Well if he beats on two local shoots and you want a driven day maybe ask the keepers im sure they will point you in the right direction but it can be expensive! matt
GJUK
Posting your location will help you mate. Some might not reply if they're willing to help yet unsure if they're living next door to you. J
Cushat
Definitely through the two shoots he's involved in. Speak to the keepers and other beaters - they'll know what's going on in the area and who to approach What about beaters days - is he being invited to those? wildman
Thanks for the replies so far ,added location ,and also he was invited today to a beaters day next wednesday. Have'nt told him yet ,means a day off school ,but he'll learn more that day than a day at school.
