Bonjour, I'm going away soon, to stay in a cottage on some farm land I've got permission to shoot on. I will be taking my shotgun (1) but there is no safe or secure location for the gun. Where should I keep the gun? I will have my dogs with me, so I'm not worried about anyone stealing it, more than im 'ticking the boxes' in the eyes of the law. I thought I'd break the gun up, sleeping with most of it in the bed at night(extreme but best for security?!). What do you do with guns while you're away from home, on a shooting weekend or similar? His screenshot shows AVG antivirus running, something a company would not trust or use. Shows he was on his home PC at the very least :-).

Yes. don't be a cheapskate. If you love dogs, you should buy them from a proper breeder. Backyard breeding does nothing for any breed.

Ner it'll be alright. Lob any two dogs toegether and hey presto. You always get 100% healthy pups if you do this.

Derby is near me. I'm a new starter to shooting as well though (been out in the field around 10 or so times). Maybe inthe future we'll 'hook up'. Good luck and have fun.

I've always heard 'foxes are a problem, they kill sheep' but in my sheltered life, I've never seen a photo of a fox and sheep like that. I assume that fox has killed that? Oh right. Funn that. I never asked them anything like that. I described the situation to them and asked their advice. Who do you phone if you've got a problem with a car road insurance issue? The DVLA Who do you phone if you have a query with your AIG house insurance. AIG Who do you contact to query your service interval on your Ford Escort. Ford Who do you phone if you have a query about your SGC/Firearms. The Police Yes you could contact a car owners forum for the road insurance questions. Yes you could ask your mate about your home insurance query. Yes you could ask 'Dave' around the corner about the Escort. And yes you could ask the BASC about the shooting query. Don't tell me I'm wrong. Because I'm quite frankly not. Like you said. It's not rocket science. It's common sense. Comments like this amuse me. As you seem to know so much about the discussion I have with the person on the phone. Did you think I was rude? Should I have worded my question differently? Did I speak to the right person to start with in the dept? From what I gather, unlike most of the people that shoot, I'm not a millionaire. I'm not on the dole and I don't live on a farm. Access to information or sensible people within the hobby directly around me is hard to come by. My FEO said "If you have any questions, just call." So I did. It seems sensible to me, maybe to much so for Cat.

Why the **** would the police know the answer, with regards to a question, about somthing they police! Most of the members on here offer their opinion. Some offer solid advice. Most don't though.
