busdennis
hi ive only been shooting for a few months, mainly clays but a few pigeons before they disappeared for the winter. anyway i havent got any insurance yet as im going to join my local pigeon club in april and in the fee includes full insurance with basc, if i join for the last few months i have to pay for a full year. my problem is ive been beating for a local shoot and have been invited to shoot on beaters day but i must have insurance, if i join basc it wont be worth joining the local pigeon club with all there benefits can you get insurance for a day or week or so denny
David BASC
If you join as a full member and the join later via a group BASC will give you a refund when your club card arrives, just send back your old 'full' individual card and you wiil get a cheque. Remember, you get a good discount off of the cost by joining via a club. David

BlaserF3
Why don't you check your household insurance policy, you could be insured on that already. Or give them a ring and ask.
GJUK
Why don't you check your household insurance policy, you could be insured on that already. Or give them a ring and ask. If its only insurance you want. Do this. Or join BASC for future support for you and the 'hobby'/'way of life'. J
BlaserF3
Really? There was a good discussion on Guntrader about what BASC does for individuals. Might I suggest that you look it up? It's in General Discussion on page 3. Under BASC Membership Reminders. I might not be allowed to show you a link. GJUK
Really? Yes, really. There was a good discussion on Guntrader about what BASC does for individuals. Might I suggest that you look it up? It's in General Discussion on page 3. Under BASC Membership Reminders. I might not be allowed to show you a link. Are you being 'special'? Or just a bit slow on the uptake? You seem to be arguing for no reason I can see.
Highlander
OK this topic gets done to death almost every week on here so here's an idea. If everyone who is a member of the best shooting organisation we have (BASC) were to send their copy of the BASC magazine to none members then maybe they’d all join. It’s full of reasons why BASC should receive all the support we as fieldsports folk can give. It’s not just about insurance (although if you don’t have it you should) but about supporting your sport. You know it makes sense! BASC are the muscle, the big guns (excuse the pun) we need to bring to bear on the powers that be to ensure our sport not only continues but flourishes. no one else does it better, has the clout or the organisation to stay the course and fight the good fight!
