6shot
my first gat was an upgrade from a spud gun so it seemed like a 308 at the time then again the spud gun probly had more power Edited January 25, 2009 by 6shot
Imperfection
Oddly-i wasnt ever allowed a Gat gun or any pistol for that matter when i was a kid.Despite having my own air rifle which i used daily on own in garden and going shooting with dad using .410's,12g & rimfires-he always reconed pistols were for criminals! I always wanted a Gat gun though.Perhaps i should fulfill my dream....38 years later...
buckshot100
The Gat gun, that brings back memories of my childhood. Twiddling the knurled ring on the end of the barrel to alter the POA (in theory.) On reflection i'm sure they were made to miss but what fun! Ahh happy days. Browning
Great little guns..... I remember one of the few times I ever hit anything with mine was a starling at about 5 yards. You could clearly see the flight of the pellet, see it strike the bird.......and bounce off.
pegasus bridge
I had a gat rifle! does anyone else remember this - it was a gat rifle with a black plastic skeleton stock and had a tiny bit more power.
Beardo
funny coincidence, i was just about to ask if anyone remembered the gat rifle - i only ever had the pistol but a mate had the rifle. i use to tie nylon thread to the darts feed them down the barrel then turn em around - action man grapnel launcher. the gat got replaced with an ASI Paratrooper (self loading .177) which i loved to bits.
