I use mainly my BSA supersport 177 and its my first 177 gun ive always had 22 with elly wasp pellets but for 177 ive been told you need abit more weight in the pellets for hunting, any advise on any good 177 pellets for vermin. Ive been using accu pellets and have nearly finished the tin so i need to get some more soon. :birthday:

Hi, I shoot in .177 and have found that any domed pellet is good if you accurately hit the kill zone. I had a BSA lightening XL and found that H&N field and trophy suited it very well. To give you an idea of stopping power, I was getting clean kills on squirrels at up to 30 yards with the first shot. The H&Ns aren't that heavy either, just a mid weight .177 pellet. I tried heavier pellets and hollowpoint and didn't notice any improvements... you can't improve on a clean kill.

My advice is to find the most accurate mif weight pellet for your gun and stick with it.

AA is right.. Dead is dead :good: The RWS super domes are very good as are the JSB's, but even more important than that is discovering what pellet you rifle shoots accurately.. 90% shooter, and 10% gun..
