Markio
As per title. I have a large MP3 file that i want to split into individual tracks. It needs to be free. Ideally it would enable me to pick a point in the time line and preview my selection to make sure i've got the right point. What's out there? So far i've found crappy utils that don't really do the job. Edited January 23, 2009 by Markio
Bradders
Have you tried "wavepad" basic functionality that you are after is free, some enhanced features need the license. I have used it to edit tracks to get the bits I want for ringtones.

scout
I use Goldwave , do a google for it. I think you can only download a 30 day trial but then you can just keep downloading it. Works really well. does loads of stuff if you want to have some fun with the tracks, ie turn them backwards, change the tone, speed etc.
