Alright....confession on my part......he was right , I was wrong, ...Tuesday was the day, he did panic a bit though (understatement!) and was straight on the phone to the 'keeper.

Only one beaters day this year, there were three last year, because the syndicate are shooting the two last days of the season, hope they don't start making a habit out of it.

I think they shot just over 120 yesterday, only 14 guns and only 4 dogs, why do some people who beat all season/ pick up with dogs then not bring them on the beaters day?:D They say its so they can concentrate on their shooting but it is really selfish, without the dogs in the beating line very little gets flushed and its depriving the other team of their hard earned sport. One keeper I know when telling the beaters of their day added that they would be sent home if they turned up to shoot without their dogs.

Message from the 'keeper to me, lots of deer, get back and fill the game larder for me  I know where I will be next week....
