seisobs
Whent out on a new permission yesterday and set up at the edge of a big stubble field under a flightline - although during the last 3 days the pigeons were few and far between but a day out is a day out. Set up at 12:30 with 10 shell flocked deeks on spring sticks, 10 full body flocked deeks on Eezy wobblers and 10 full body plain old plastic deeks with sillosocks on them and 1 floater, didn't bother with the magnet as I didn't have any dead birds. To cut a long story short, I sat for 4 hours and not one pigeon came into the deeks, must have seen about 75- 100 in total flying down the flightline above me but just too high. First time I have experienced it, they just wern't interested. Oh well, at least it was a few hours out.
Imperfection
lol-i was out this morning too and despite watching a biblical sized flock going from field to field half mile away-they didnt come to where i was! I ended up with a grand total of 3 woodies and 2 crows and for them i had to trek round a field so they wouldnt see me! But hey, some you win, some you loose! MerseaDavid
I am sure you will get into them some time soon but I have had it before where the birds just wont come in, that is where the full choke 5-6 shot 34 gram cartridges come in handy.
