squirrel caller

I have one here somewhere. Don't expect the squirrels to come running to you when you start using it. Most effective use is to get into a wood where there are lots of squirrels already. After you've shot the first one and they all duck into the trees, you can wait a few minutes and use the caller to relax them a bit. Most will start to come out to see what the noise it and what that other squirrel is on about. That's when you get a clean shot on them.

 

Also, what I described above is for shooting them with a 22. When you go at it with a shotgun you can figure a lot longer time before the woods settle down.
