Warlock
Lol, if it`s an escort which i suspect it is use lead shot 28 gramme and higher, steel shot use 24 gramme and higher also i doesn`t like 65mm cases, try to use 67.5 and higher. evilstoat
I had 2 jams in mine using 65mm clear/green pigeon carts sunday, it sucks and if the action is picking up, it'll be a minute before you unjam and reload, will be using the 70mm ones i have left next sunday Edited February 24, 2009 by evilstoat

Mec 9000
Nothing to do with the length of case it's more to do with what is inside them. I reload all pigeon cartridges just below what is needed to cycle my auto, makes them nice to shoot and easy on the shoulder so I use my o/u or pump action. if I want to use my semi auto I need to up the powder a little. I could increase the load slightly but lead is to expensive nowadays. I suggest you try different cartridges till you find one that cycles your gun whatever the case size. Whitebridges
Have you got a new Semi Auto gofrodders? If you have run the beast in with a few heavy loads (perhaps 100 or so). Then go for 32g 70mm if you can. Then you might be fine on the clay ground if that's what you shoot. Some of the better breed of S/A's are fine straight out of the box, like a browning. If the gun isn't new i'd recommend a total strip and clean. Edited February 25, 2009 by Whitebridges
Guest topshot_2k
Remington 1187 and it cycles all 24g and up in either 2 1/2 or 2 3/4 case
bullet boy
Everything i put through my Winchester SX3 ejects with no problem.
edr
My Beretta Urika 2 Synthetic cycles most 21gm and above cartridges. The only brand it doesn't like are comp x's in any load as the brass seems 'soft' and manages to clog up the trigger mech. EDR
chrispti
what size cartridge do you use in your semi mines not ejecting cheap ones some one told me to use a faster one 65mm right up to 3.5'' Everything i put through my Winchester SX3 ejects with no problem. except carts under 70mm Edited February 27, 2009 by chrispti
Guest
I just bought a Hatsan Escort and have size 7 1/2 28 gramme D&J cartridges so should I expect a problem? Edited February 28, 2009 by Guest
Warlock
not a problem with D & J, they are quite a heavy feeling cartridge to shoot so they escort will keep spitting them out, after you have fired a few hundred carts through an escort it will start cycing 24g lead alot better, it`s a case of wearing the escort in and doing a good job with cleaning so the action is smooth and returns freely. Guest
The escort that I have is actually second hand and has seen some use, so I think this might be an important factor why it might fire slightly better.
