optomist
Interested to hear other peoples experience with .17hmr ammo, I'm still trying different stuff, trying to be objective measuring groups etc best so far but far from scientific appears to be winchester x 20 grain hollowpoint for accuracy but still trying different ones. how often have people found you have to clean for optimum accuracy? My rifle is CZ452 with rimfire majic trigger kit (excellent) 21" american and sak moderator cheers Optomist

Tiff-TRG
For the record nearly all of it is made in the same factory!!!! It all comes down to batch consistency and not the brand.

KW seconded 20g punch tiny holes in things and don't do enough damage, you're far better off with the 17g Vmax which after all is what the gun was designed to use. Must confess we had rather a good night out last night and using my mates gun ran out of his remington ammo, so rather than get my gun out (dog was asleep on the case) I bunged in some of my Hornadys and proceeded to shoot the next 11 rabbits without a miss, so zero can't have been much different as they were out to about 120 yards.
