sambu13
Im in the process of writing to the police to get the address of my cabinet moved, how does this letter look to you experienced gents? Dear Sir/Madam, I currently hold a shotgun certificate and keep my guns at my uncle’s (************************************) address. I would like to install a new cabinet at my home address (as above) and keep my guns here from now on. I understand that if the relocation of my guns were to be given the go ahead new cabinet would need to be inspected. I look forward to hearing from you on this matter. Sincerely yours, ? Cranfield
I would suggest you telephone them and advise them that you intend to install a gun cabinet at your home address on (insert date) and would like to arrange for it to be inspected, as you wish to reloacate your guns which are currently kept at (insert address). Thats what I would do and it will certainly save time.
sambu13
Ive allready emailed them and been told i must submit a request in writing, pain in the ****!
Big_Sam
Its not a request, you can keep your shotguns where every you like! Just treat it as a house move and send them a polite letter saying where you used to live (i.e. where the guns lived) and where you are moving to (i.e. where the guns are moving to). Also the house inspection is not needed for legal reasons, that's just for plod to keep themselves happy. At the end of the day, if the shotguns are listed on your certificate, YOU are responsible for where you keep them, not the police.

Big_Sam
Good man! Make sure you are polite though, they are still normal people and if you treat them well, they will treat you well.
