dapper
So after you find land, have permissions to shoot Vermin, i.e. rats, pigeons, what do you do with them? I am new to this but would not want to take home say 20 - 30 pigeons. So what can I do, where do you go... Do you have to dispose of them in a certain way... Who would buy them? thanks cheers Dave

Lovely, but not when they have been eating ivy berries, yuck! ft

Guest topshot_2k
eat them, freeze them or give them to friends/family to eat. i never waste good meat
6shot
dont really like pigeons to eat myself. so bung them all in the freezer and when its full take them to the game dealer. it gives you a little bit of money back and makes sure they go to good use
jammie*dodger
But what do you do with the rest? Breast a pigeon there must still be quite a bit left over

dapper
Well, All good ideas. I am actually a town boy, only part country in me. I have just looked at youtube on how to breast a pigeon! Er what about all the pellets from the shot! Are they part of the eating process..dont know if I fancy more fillings for teeth, so is it you take them out like pips.. ? Or is there more to it!? Dave
petrol_head29
most of the time when you take the brest of you can see the impact mark of the pellets, just feel around and push any pellent out, the pellets normaly go straight through at averadge deycoying range. bobt
Can I add the obvious answer? if you dont want 30 pigeons dont shoot that many.
dapper
Hi Bobt, I understand what you mean.. but is it not cheaper to go and shoot on someones land than blast Clays all day long.. ? Is this not the reason why we shoot on Farmers land? Or is it really to eat all those pigeons Dave
