JohnGalway
Have you been using them until they ran out of power altogether or just until they got dim? I only use mine until they start getting dim then they're turned off and it's home to charge.
Emmsy
i suggest you invest in a multimeter only a few pounds from maplin check the charger is working first a battery will self charge to a ceritain extent which is why you might get 5 mins out of it each day
Rewmer
Do a Google search on battery conditioning. You will find to get the best out of any re-chargable battery you have to fully charge, and then fully discharge a few times. Leaving them on charge constantly is a bad idea unles you have a good quality charger that senses when it is full.
Emmsy
it all depends what type of battery it is, yes a NiCad you can cycle to rejuvinate but lead acid is different.
