CZ550Kevlar
Don`t forget people, FIBRE WADS! i will have a few hundred Gamebore Kent velocity spare at £3.50 with me but they usually have Eley firsts on sale down there. I have 150 Eley VIP`s 28 gramme 7.5 fibre that i found in the safe under my .22lr rounds, if anyone wants them you can have them for £25 which is a good price. Also it`s a 100 bird shoot so bring spares for those no birds, they also run a special stand, DTL, compact etc etc so anyone that could be interested bring some spares for that too. Otherwise i will see you all at McDonalds on the Whitfield roundabout, i will be there at 08:30 tomorrow.

jonnyoftheboy
1st time at Martin Gorsewood today. A friendly run shoot I would say. Real mix of targets...... Many thanks to Kevlar, Mk38 & Dapper...... Was good to meet up & put a few faces to names. An enjoyable day..... decent setting, decent shoot & targets, good cup of tea & a bacon & brie roll to die for..... all-in-all a winner for me! Dapper had his lesson..... we snuck up to the practice stand & watched for a while without him realising... ..... looks like he'll be joining in proper next time. Kevlar was top of the shop with 79 (or was it 75.... forgot!).... myself with 70, & in the late 50's early 60's? for MK38 I think. But the scores were less important, just good company & a decent shoot. I will be back to Martin Gorsewood..... enjoyed it. shame lurcherboy & a couple of others never made it, maybe next time.... no pics I'm afraid.... thanks gents... CZ550Kevlar
Old venue for me but new targets and more importantly good new company, hopefuly see the same faces next time and hopefully a few more as i`m sure there will be a comeback event. Thankyou to everyone that turned up and made it a very enjoyable day, now dapper knows the ropes i`m sure he will do the rounds with us. MK38
A good day was had by all.... i decided to do the decent thing and let the others think they were better shots than me........ by letting them thrash me A nice friendly shoot, if a little hectic today with a visiting club comp and being a bank holiday weekend.... nice tea and grub... definately worth another visit i think. Only next time i'll do my best to do a score thats harder to beat.... Nice to meet Jonnyoftheboy and dapper for the first time and to see Andrew again.... maybe a few more faces next time eh! Thanks chaps, Dave
dapper
Well, What can I say, Martin Gorse was good for me. As I had a practice and tuition. With my own gun. Not too sure about the parking arangements though! (ring around the roses) I enjoyed, except now I have shoulder ache. Yes the sneaky **** snuckup and watched me without me even knowing! Hopefully they watched when I managed to hit a few of the clays. One point I was doing really well then I went down hill then I came back again. Shot gun was totally different for me as I am use to target shooting. Yep the coffee was nice, purchased some carts from cavlar - went to pick them up (250) blimey was not expecting them to be so heavy. (i must be just weak) The guys, MK38, Jonnyoftheboy, cavlar were great chaps. Nice to meet you all. I am definately up for another meet. And yes now I can look like I know what to do, (Actually knowing is a different story) I will certainly join in with ya. Overal a fantastic time, could not wish for better people. jonnyoftheboy
One thing I'll also add re. Martin Gorsewood..... the shoot was very friendly. In fact, the main organisers were walking from stand to stand & had time to chat to all the punters.... not just the regulars...... a nice touch I thought. A lot of places I've been shooting recently.... unless you're a known face, you don't even get as much as a nod! well done Martin Gorsewood..... a few others could take a leaf out of your book...! CZ550Kevlar
If anyone is interested i was thinking about organising a comeback event, Sorry guys no easter eggs this time. If anyone has any thoughts on dates post them and we`ll see if we can sort something out. I`m thinking of May 4th or May 24th, my daughters birthday is the 8th May so that weekend is out. CZ550Kevlar
Yep it`s a bank holiday Monday shoot, they are making an exception as some of us have mentioned they should make use of the bank holiday and they have listened. So Monday 4th is seeming like a winner. EDIT:- Judging from the comments from members it appears that Martin Gorsewood gets the thumbs up. I hoped people would enjoy it.
