FAC Mistakes

Got my variation back last week, looking over it now and noticed that when I sold my 22lr instead of removing my condition to buy 22lr ammo they removed my 17 HMR ammo, so now I can buy 22lr ammo but don't have a rifle for them, and I have a 17 HMR rifle, but can't buy ammo for it  lol!

Gave em a ring and they said to send it back in :good: Just thought it was a little funny :good:

You know, I don't think I have ever had a certificate back first time without mistakes of some sort. My FAC currently says I can use my .223 expanding ammo on vermin, but the vermin condition has disappeared from my .223 rifle :good:

The worst mistake was when I once had a load of someone else's guns listed on my SGC and not my own guns! :good:

same as mine. I dropped my 30-06, but they left the ammo bit on. My 17 AH barrel was listed as "permission to acquire" when it needed to be in the "already has" box. And they hadn't opened my certificate as asked, nor given me a refusal. Simple phone call and all was sorted. Mistakes happen, things get overlooked.

thanks,

rick

same here, apparently i own a semi auto .22 WMR even though you can have them in the UK

I think you meant to say you can't have them in the UK :good: Although I do believe your mistaken there mate, 22 Winchester Manum Rimfire (WMR) is a rimfire round, so you are allowed to have them in the UK I believe.

Its only Centrefire semis you can't have! :good:

Nothing new there. I still can't officially use my .22 Hornet for anything. I have the gun and ammo, but it has no conditions for its use. Legally I'm told you don't have to have conditions at all, so I've left it as I can shoot anything that's legal with that calibre!

I've had a mod added that I didn't own, guns not added that I did own, all sorts of daft stuff.
