Joneszee
I had a great Weekend! Sunday morning out in a field not more than 10 mins from my house. Set up at 7:30 , the first crows started coming in over the decoys from around 8:00. I obviously had something right for the first time as they were opening their wings to commit from around the 50 yard mark and floating easily into range. With 2 of us in the hide , we managed to clock up 130 crows and 3 pigeons. What a fantastic day! I cant wait for the summer when I hope that I can get it right another time! dodger
Might I venture to suggest that those crows were probably rooks.
Joneszee
There was a mix between rooks and carrion's. There was a Magpie included in there as well.
Crowblaster
Did u use an electronic caller too? Or just the decoys? Love shooting them crows!
Joneszee
No, just used a rotary with pigeon decoys and a couple of floaters and some rockers. It just seemed to be a good day for it.

Joneszee
it was the best bag for me! Even though I was the weaker shot of the two. but never mind it was a great day that i will remember for a while. just cant wait until it happens with pigeons! scolopax
A keen pigeon shooter I know had that long dreamed of red letter day last year. Counted 300 woodpigeon and never bothered to tally up another half sack, reckons he had 330 ish in all. He then sold his guns and all of his gear! He had accomplished something he had thought might never happen so then turned his attentions to something new.
