watkins666
I am completly new to the world of reloading shotgun shells. All of my shooting is done with fibre wad so therfore which of the loaders would be most suitable for my needs. Many Thanks Chaps
Andy H
All reloading setups are suitable for fibre/felt wads as you have feed funnel that will take plastic or fibre fitted to them
watkins666
Thanks for that Andy, I only asked as have been looking at the Lee Load-All II. In the instruction booklet it states that it is designed to load plastic wads only. http://www.midwayusa.com/midwayusa/StaticP...ns/Load_All.pdf
mikee
I prefer MEC machines and the 600jr is ideal for a beginner, they can be bought very cheaply 2nd hand from US ebay and are ideal for loading fiber wads, you can stack the required column of fillers and spacer cards in the wad guide and plunge them in all at the same time. look for older models with the steel powder tube and 2nd stage crimp rather than the newer models with the plastic fittings mikee http://sporting-goods.shop.ebay.com/items/...odsQQ_sacatZ382
Andy H
The lee press being american will state use plaswads only they hardly ever use fibre wads .

drut
I have both MEC(Versamec forerunner of the 600jr) & Lee Loadall, either will handle fibre wads no problem. Both machines have their plus & minus points but I could live happily with either one(I prefer the crimp on the MEC but love the comprehensive bushings selection of the Lee). The MEC cost me £40.00 secondhand inc. post from States(ebay) & the Loadall was given to me just afterwards (*****r).
