reedbradshaw
How do you rate the red dot sight? I assume its only for slugs?

Steel100
The Eotech sight is definitely a superb bit of kit. The guy I got mine from was a able to supply at well below UK wholesale price, otherwise I could never have afforded one. He's not got any in stock now and the Americans seem to be exporting most of their Eotech for military use. Magtech slugs are grouping sub 3" at 50 M. As for the SN it's a 'tool'. I've absolutely no emotional attachment - it is an excellent bit of kit which 'does what it says on the tin'. For rapidfire some would prefer the Rem 870. If you pull back on the slide, when you fire the action will rack back in one movement. With the SN, it is fire, then rack the slide a distinctive separate action. However, the comfortech stock is for me, the dogs do-da's! Very comfortable and with a user interchangeable high cheekpiece it means I have perfect eye alignment with the Eotech. Reloading is also a doddle as the ramp allows you to feed in two slugs at a time. The side saddle (with piccatinny rail) is a Mesa Tactical. I had an RFD friend drill and tap the receiver for the side saddle. I like it. Some people hate them. Using Brenneke or Sauvestre slugs it would be great for wild boar. Alternatively, in s2 guise with the 3. 1/2" chamber it makes a good fowling gun, I'm sure. Cheers Andy
