Andy H
Time to call it quits ,You have returned it for repair twice and they have failed to rectify the same fault, Ask for a replacement or refund as the item is not fit for the purpose intended due to a fault and possible safety implications and no further repair will be accepted due to the fact that they are do not seem to be able to repair the original item. wayne916
I had a 20g franchi harrier, brought new from Garlands,it had a fault where it would not fire on the second barrel regardless where you put the selector, I took it back, and got attitude about a replacement, they took it out put 25 through it and said no fault found, so to prove a point I went and shot 50 sporting with the tester, low and behold same fault appeared, rather than say ok there is a problem, I was told you must push the barrel open level fully across or hold it with your finger while shooting !!! shows the build quality to me is rubbish, never had a problem with any of my beretta's. There attitude was not good, and i had to sell the gun on to a dealer, since then it has cost them by me purchasing elsewhere the purchase of a DT10, Stonecoat Gold auto, Browning 425, and recently a UGB 25. My advise "Demand your money back" as under Trading standards its not fit for Purpose, owe and steer clear of Franchi
ironhorse
You have rights under the consumer act, the item must be fit for the purpose it is intended for, if an item does not perform the task it was intended for, you have every right to demand a replacement or your money back, they can not make you accept a voucher to the amount spent. You have been very understanding of this matter now is the time to act.
The Burpster
If I were you I'd ring GMK and tell them what kind of service you are getting from one of thier agents....... They tend not to like that......... You may find ( as I had to once) that a swift call from GMK to the dealer and you gun will be replaced. cap1len
Hi Adam in my experience if you have bought it as a new gun then the shop should replace the gun or give you your money back. remember to always be courteous in your dealings with the shop as it is in no ones interests to be confrontational. you will always get a better response by asking rather than demanding. I owned a Franchi which i recently sold . It cycled anything I put through it . Any manufacturer can make a faulty gun . Dont knock em all if you had a dodgy one
