webber
Jim We purchased some shrimps from Flookborough over the Easter holiday. They were fresh, so they are catching in Morecambe Bay. I have a 4ft wide push net that I made several years ago. I even went to the trouble of purchasing the correct riddle to prevent keeping shrimps that are too small. The waters a tad too cold for me at the moment. Its hard work getting enough to get a feed, but its worthwhile in the end, and passes a few hours on on a nice day. webber

webber
I bought my netting from a chandlers in Morecambe about 15 years ago, sadly it is now closed. I purchased the thripence farthing riddle (dont laugh) it a measure of the gauge, from a trawler supplies business in Fleetwood, I remember there being 3 in Yellow Pages, but cant remember the name. My push net is 4ft wide, and runs on golf cart wheels, they make it asier to push and the net does not dig into the sand, but skims just above. webber
MC
You should do fine for shrimps this time of year, We have a 4' beam trawl that is towed behind a dinghy and we can get loads of brown shrimps (which are the best) We also end up with a fish box full of crabs as well but they are shore crabs so they go back.
