perfect
Why would a golfcourse need a gamekeeper, what would his/her job entail ?
WGD
More a pest controller than a gamekeeper I would think, dealing with problem species damaging the course, i.e. rabbits, deer, moles etc.
perfect
Thats what i thought, theres a job advertised for a trainee gamekeeper on this golfcourse, i have three 12 hour nightshifts left then im redundent some training at college is reqiured but a cant see that being a problem for me so i have applied for the position. it also states i would be working along side the greenkeeper. Ripper
if u don't mind me asking where was it that was advertising? not applying for a job, was just curious. local to where you are and already do voluntary gamekeeping.
pyr8
must be a typo,i,m a retired greenkeeper and can not think why a course would need a full time gamekeeper unless it,s to cull some of the older members. there is a need however for vermin control.some clubs have severe rabbit damage as well as problems with corvids and squrrels.
