Ahhh - it depends.

 

I've found that sisters can co-rear, where as other jills can fight (inless they have been together for a long, long time) when both broods come about.

 

I wouldn't seperate them too early, there's no point and it's a hassel, but I'd say you should wait just before they start making nests (1 weeks into the pregnacy)

Ferrets are only pregnant 42 days roughly one day short of six weeks

Sorry, ment to say ''1 week before the pregnacy'' hence the sentance before hand :rolleyes:

Mine co rear will do this year no doubt i thinks its down to the ferrets mine are gentle and have a big run and lots of living space i dont know if that makes a diff but mine have never eaten their kits and dont fight so i guess its preferance but i think if they have enough space and are settled i would not move them.
