How do attach a bipod to a rifle?

Recommended Posts

It attached to the sling swivel stud on the fore-end. You need to unscrew the knurled wheel, pushing the finger-like bits of metal through the rectangular hole in the main plate of the bipod. These two finger thingies have a stud each, point towards each other. These little studs engage in the hole in the sling swivel stud. You then screw in the knurled wheel, pulling the bipod up flush against the fore-end, increasing the pressure until it is firmly seated.

It may be easier to show you with photos. Does it not some with instructions?

They are often a pain in the butt to get on and off. I your stud is too far into the stock it will be really hard to get on. Try unscrewing the stud half a turn and see if it goes in then. It will get easier as you use it and you get the hang of getting it on and off.
