Ballymac
Hi guys was out working around Ballyclare area yesterday, had not been around this area before, and in the distance I noticed a lovely field of yellow. Now I can only imagine that this crop was OSR. This got me to thinking as the title says how much of this crop is there in N.ireland or indeed even Ireland. I can remember seeing a lot more of this crop 15yrs ago but this field is the first one I have seen in quite a while. I assume that this is quite a good crop to decoy over ? Si-Bore
I assume that this is quite a good crop to decoy over ? When it is short (not in flower) it can provide a great food source especially through winter (the harsher the weather the more they seem to go for it). Also it shoots well as stubble as there are many seeds that slip through the harverster. Si
