malkiserow
Just heard today that my permission is now sold to owners who are anti country sports ..... just like the land I lost over the past couple of years. All to antis who just want to "enjoy the natural countryside without murdering lovely fluffy bunnies". :look:

Imperfection
Perhaps in a year or so it might pay to pop in and see them because pest levels are bound to increase and this will hit them in their pocket.

CZ550Kevlar
I had the same thing, couple of city folks came in and bought a farm, changed it into a stables and riding school, they said my services were not required anymore due to rabbits not being a problem and they shouldn`t be hunted and that they will deal with them by putting rabbit fencing up, a few weeks later i was on a neighbouring field and noticed the local vet so i wondered over and said hello over the fence as you do, turns out he was treating the horse for a broken ankle, it put it`s foot through the thin bit of ground where the rabbits had been digging. The owner noticed me and then clocked my rifle and said he remembers me and that was i still hunting rabbits, i said that i was but don`t worry not near his fences or horses, he immediately said please come round to the house for a drink i think we need to talk, i asked if i could just hop over the fence otherwise i would be carrying my rifle in a public place, hopped over the fence sat down with a nice coffee his wife made for me and was told we are realy sorry for turning you away and would you mind coming back and shooting the rabbits for us, let us know what night and we will put the horses into stables overnight, Result. Goes to show that these people come along and think they know best then learn the expensive lesson of treating their livestock. Hang on in there and maybe see if your services maybe needed again. sapper063
i have same problem with people moving from cities to the countryside they should add in the sale book a few countryside laws and traditions not to try and take over, one farmer i know was asked to keep his cows quiet. bigred
I had the same story as you CZ. Went back 1 year later same thing horse, bad leg. Oh please could you do something about it. Also had some land I used to shoot on get sold to a nature reserve so no chance of that happening on that one. Looks like its back to the driving/phoning round for you thought mate for now at least, but don't worry I'm sure something will come up for you and me both. Ferret Master
No such thing as natural countryside in Britain anymore. It is a man made place. Best of luck. FM
