Baldrick
DD, my HMR is for sale on here and elsewhere, but it's a left-handed action. You shouldn't struggle to pick up a right-hand CZ HMR for a good price.
wannabefisher
I was also talking to BASC on a different topic and got on to .17 calibre and he was also saying .17's are very wind prone, from tests they had carried out. the problem is it just depends on what you are comparing it against. If it's a 22lr then you would say it is not very affected by wind, if it's a 22-250 then you would say it is. Given that for most people the choice in guns is between .17 and 22lr, not .17 and a CF, I would say that the .17 is not affected much by wind. deadeye ive
Have to agree .........Its mainly when paper punching that you really notice the relationship between wind and ballistics .Out and out pest control with a high calibre round will most times result in a clean kill at sensible ranges and if you can see a entry wound from a .17 then you have eyes like a ****house rat . Exit wounds ..well even Mr magoo can see them

dieseldogg
i am kinda obligbed to give the local RFD a "turn" as he is importing a target rifle outta England for me, and I reasonably need to surrender my existing target rifle agin the new one. Hence I will probably buy the .17 from him i have made a few enquiries offen RFD's on this side of the water, no second hand .17HMR's about, all .22WMR,s So looks like I will be buying new ******
