Popgun
I've made a start on the new punt i've rougthed out the stem and stern post cut out the rebaits for the gunwhales and chines and the center line batten, there made out of 4"columbean pine which started life as a 14"X14" pile from the Cordite factory pier before WW1. i,ve rougth cut the deck beams from spruce and douglas fir that i had in the shed all the floor timbers are cut from 1 and1/8" teak left over from a teak deck i fitted about 6 years ago i am a bit of a magpie i save all the offcuts of any size. i made a jig to build it on and leveled it up on a rougth bit of ground at the top of the garden where i used to grow spuds, the punt will be built upside down on the jig .I will take some photos and try to post them on the computer. All the best Popgun.

All the best Popgun. Popgun, I am really looking forward to seeing this post/thread of your boat. The boat I am working on will fly as well (already did once but not enough!) I've just finished some aluminium turning ducts to direct the fan thrust into the skirts whilst maintaining power. If the prop convertion into a tunnel does not overcome the current drag issues then it is water jet time, but since we have put so much investement into splitting the drive through a marine gearbox for the propshaft drive and the fan drive then a waterjet is a last resort. We are aiming for 35 knotts as a boat and 65 MPH flying. Ours is a estury rescue-craft rather than a punt!

Pav I've got 2 1and1/2" breach loaders and 2 1 and 3/8" muzzel loaders so im ok for guns i've got a set of drawings for a 1and 1/4" breach loader but never got round to having it built, i had a 1 and 1/2" breach loader built in the 1980s its not a bad gun but my 1 and 1/2" bland shoots a lot harder it,s a beast.
