Cranfield
The current record is 4lb-9ozs-9drms. Be very careful identifying crucians as there are a lot of large hybrids about , especially hybrid crucian/rudd. The hybrids take on 90% of the crucians features, which make them almost impossible to detect without scales investigation. Whatever it was that you caught, if it weighed about 4lbs and fought like a crucian, that must have been some scrap. On light tackle they are animals.
