terry b
Hi all just about to renew my basc membership as I have been out of action for a few months due to ill health (hospital etc) thought that i need to get back into things now over the worst. my membership was due on 30/4 but i would prefer it to start from now rather than backdate, to renew online it would start from april should i start a new membership from scratch anyone got any suggestions
JonD
I'd just call them and ask, i'm sure they would just renew from now. Glad you are getting better. Jon.

David BASC
If you renew now, as you are within your three month renewal period, your membership will run from the end of April. if you renewed on 1st August, your new membership wll run from August - hope that makes sense! al4x
does that mean he has had insurance cover in that period where membership had lapsed but after paying up before August it would mean continuity of cover.
David BASC
Yes indeed, the cover will be in place during the three month period of grace, on the provision there was an intent to renew. If he did not renew until say September this year, then cover will have ceased from the end of April. David
al4x
but if he had an accident before the end of July you'd honour it, interesting to know

MC
That is very interesting as there was a blazing row at our wildfowling club AGM last year as the was a month lapse between the BASC membership running out and our subs being paid. As one of the members thought he had been out shooting uninsured. There was very nearly a punch up over it. Which made a very boring meeting quite interesting.
