webber
They seem to be demanding rather a lot in the qualification/expierence department for someone to knock off a few tree rats. My thoughts exactly. webber
smig4373
How do you prove if you've been shooting squirrels all your life if you've just been doing it as and when they appear.....Ive sub-contracted to UPM TILHIL before...there not the best firm to work for....although,for this particular job...i'd give it a go... Captain Caveman
My thoughts exactly. webber I think they've set the bar a little high, but this might be to filter out serious applicants from any Tom, **** and Harry with an FAC/SG cert. Effective squirrel control in forestry is largely by warfarin hopper or live catch traps with any shot ones being a bonus, so I'd imagine they'd be looking for someone who's experience of trapping and the best stands to site traps and hoppers. (Grey squirrels prefer thinned barked broadleaves for bark stripping, such as beech.) Just thought I'd post the link in this section as it might be suitable for any keepers that are struggling to find work in these hard times... bruno22rf
If they thought about it they could most likely charge people by the day to come and do this!
huntercarbine
If they thought about it they could most likely charge people by the day to come and do this! i agree, how many of us would love a weekend camping in lovely forest hunting tree rats. I'd imagine a lot!
