Hi all ,

thanks for all your replies .

Im glad you think its a good choice of gun as its my first shotgun and im really enjoying using it .

Just going back to the dating by serial number , ive emailed AYA yesterday but not heard anything back yet.

I did manage to contact someone from a firm down south which imports spanish guns ( the firms name i forget ). I gave him the serial number and he told me it was made around 1958/59 .

I did read somewhere on the internet that AYA only started making the YEOMAN in 1986 . So now im still none the wiser of the date and a little more confused !!

Another question id like to ask ......... if i wanted to remove the stock to give it a facelift how would i do it ??

Also how do you remove the barrels for cleaning ??

Sorry for all the questions

Dave

to remove the barrels there should be a lil leaver on the fore end which you pull then you can un clip and remove the forend then you just open the gun and unhook the barrels from the action.

To remove the stock, I think there is a screw on the underside of the action then one under the top lever and one behind the trigger guard I think that is thats where they are on my No.3, DO NOT USE ANY OLD SCREW DRIVER TO REMOVE THE SCREWS!
