ghillie suits

Recommended Posts

hello,i was just wondering if anyone uses a ghillie suit instead of a hide, for pigeon shooting, from what i have been reading on this site, when the birds up sticks to another field, you have to hope they come back,if not you have to pack up your hide and move with them.If you used a ghillie suit, you could move instantly, but if you have to cross any roads hope no one is about LOL.

Hey John,

That's why I'm always Naked under it.......... :good:

No honest it does get a little warm so i only wear a thin black or Grey T shirt under it and don't us the leg covers as they get caught a lot and the cammo

trousers work well.

The only two issue I have found with it when using the shottie is:

1/ With the full head cover up it masks to much view mainly from the sides as the strips come down the face on the sides of it.

2/ When carrying the shottie it sometimes gets caught on the lever to open the shoot gun, the strips find a away of getting into the little gaps

of the trigger or the opening lever on top.

I have found that a length of scrim works well for the head and face as mask, kind of wrap it around your head and across your noise and face.

Its perfect for its job as a sniper laying down on Pray mainly rabbits if using rifles a little over the top but what the heck.

Cheers
