gubby_uk
Hi all. Had a bit of a disaster this morning. I went to open my old hammer gun, and when I pulled the lever, something went click and the lever went floppy. I took it apart and found the little spring that gives it pressure had snapped. Has anyone something knocking about that would fix it please. Even a piece of spring steel that I could make a new one out of perhaps? I've put some pictures up of the broken bit. Baldrick
Any decent gunsmith should be able to make up a spring to fit.
YorkshirePurdey
You could probably get one from chambers gunsmiths (google it) and fit it yourself for a couple of quid

gubby_uk
I don't believe it! I've just gone upstairs to take care of something, and come downstairs to find the damn dog has taken the spring!! I don't know if he has swallowed it or just buried it up the garden. I do know that it's made it a damn sight harder to find a new spring. If I do I may well end up looking for something to test fire it on
