badshot
Are you going changing barrels a lot then? Tried it with my quad, fitted high mounts which meant I could just swap the barrel, put same barrel on again and zero was close but not good enough for me to spend a lot of money on quick release mounts though. cracking gun in hmr btw, love it far more than .22lr variant. Raja Clavata
Badshot, Surely it's the HMR round that you prefer rather than the gun in different calibres? Raja

Raja No its the Sako in .17 form he,s in love with, I caught him sitting in the corner of a field the other day, talking to it and stroking it lol. When he fits the .22 barrel he cant hit a barn door D2D.

Stiffy-g
[*]Do I need bases for the Sako Quad? Hi John Your first problem is the 11mm dovetail rail on the Sako Quad action. The Leupold QRW rings are only made to fit on a Picatinny-style mounting rail. I don’t know of any QD system for an 11mm dovetail rail. But the Leupold “Ringmounts” system uses standard rings with a large headed securing screw. http://www.leupold.com/hunting-and-shootin...old-ringmounts/ Good luck. Stiffy-g
You should have no scope clearance problems now, with the QRW rings on top of your Picatinny adapter rail.
