thinxs
How do you tell the difference between a white wood pigeon and a white feral pigeon?
MerseaDavid
I have never seen a fully white wood pigeon so i have never had the problem with that.

henry d
Ferals fly differently to woodpigeon with a faster wingbeat and even when landing they come in differently, they have tend to glide in with higher raised wings
Baldrick
Woodies are also quite a lot heftier than ferals. There is a piece in this month's 'Sporting Shooter' about taxidermy, with a photo of a white wood pigeon. It looked more of a grey-white to me, as the wing bars were clearly distinguishable. M ROBSON
Even when they are white you can still easily tell they are a woodpigeon by the shape and size of the body. They often have duller grey areas where the black parts should be. I've still got this one in my freezer! Mark.
