funky
Question what ranges do you lot take shots at say fox or Deer with a .243 second Germans shoot at night using the full moon sound great i use a lamp and i can see every thing at about X8 with my Simmons Atec 2.8-10X44 on my Ruger 10/22 as far as i know it would be the same if i put that scope on my .243. I am not saying you are all wrong what i am saying is if you are shooting with a lamp you dont need that much class ... if your shooting by moonlight then YES YOU DO but then why bother.. just get night vision or mybe call in the artilery or a air strike I will stick by my Guns and say 3-12x44or50 is good enough for me you lot can put hubbles space telescopes on your rifles i dont really care to be honest :yp:

al4x
Stupid question Pav but might you not be able to get a different mod or simply sleave the mod to cut out glare rather than have your scope choice decided by whether you can fit a sunshade or not. Baldrick
Pavman, I see from your posts on the BBS that you've managed to source a sunshade for the Z6. Are you going to crack on and buy the Z6? or have you seen the (more abundant) light, and decided on a Zeiss?
martinl
I have a Nightforce 5.5-22X56 and it came screw cut and sun shade fitted. I love the scope it as variable power iliminated ret. I use it for every thing, even clag on nightvison. Nightforce arnt cheap and I dont think they are worth £1300, I got mine when I working in the States (£700) I would go for the S+B 8x56. Ok, I'm out of here.
