I have a set of BOG PODs - they are at the expensive end of the scale but as I shoot deer off the once or twice a week I get my moneys worth. They are rock solid and are miles better than any other thing I have shot off. They differ from most tripod set ups as all the legs join on a fitting and the gun sitts on a pivoting v shaped rest which makes them real steady . My pal shoots foxes off them a serrious ranges 300+

Foxes at 300yards off sticks?? S'pose that'll be with a .17 as well :good::):)

Best thing to do is go down your local garden centre and pick up some garden stakes/canes - not the bamboo ones, most places do green plastic coated metal ones for about £2 each - very light and easy to make a bipod with a bit of inner tube to connect them, or buy four and make a quadpod for very secure shooting platform - see here: http://www.thestalkingdirectory.co.uk/foru...opic.php?t=6530

I still wouldn't shoot a fox off one at 300 yards though.

Buy Bushsticks for about 25 quid and loctite the screw.

Don't buy beanpoles, they don't telescope down so are a pain to put in the car and useless for sitting/kneeling shots.

Here you go:

As Stuart says...but do make sure that you loctite the screws.

I'm on my 3rd set as i keep leaving them behind after i've been stalking :good:
