Cosd
I think it was Cranfield who suggested hessian bags, and soaked in water if it's a really hot day...
Breastman
If you can get your hands on the plastic woven bags (sorry don't know the correct term) the type that royal mail uses, they are ideal. They are 100% fly proof and its easy to spot and remove any fly eggs laid on the outside of the bag Mark
Jim Sarakun
Probably not as cheap as a wet cover of some kind, which I find dries quickly in this weather, spray them with fly spray. I then chuck a sack over them. It works. Try it.

Harnser
This is the biggest problem for pigeon shooters at this time of the year . For years I have used a wet hession sacks to keep shot birds in . This will keep them cool and stop the flys laying their eggs on them . Check your bids for eggs at the end of the day and if there are eggs on them pull them off and all will be OK . If you freeze them straight away any eggs you have missed will be killed off by freezing them . Harnser .
