Clydebuilt
Lo All, Some advice required please. If I want a gun sent to my local RFD from another dealer, whats the "Normal Charges" likely to be? Will both Dealers require a handling fee? If so, what sort of a ball park figure are we talking? dazza
Usually £25 to your RFD.

MadMatt1979
The only time I did this it was£20 to the sending RFD and £25 to the recieving RFD. Maybe different depending on the RFD`s in question.

Clydebuilt
Seems there is a great deal of variation depending on the dealers. Contacted one dealer yesterday who will forward it to my local RFD for free. Said he only charges if I want to return the gun for whatever reason. digit
If you a buying the gun off the dealer, he's probably inc p+p in the price of the gun
clayman
The sending dealer needs to exchange RFD information with the receiving RFD, and both need to verify each other's certificate status. Both need to complete their registers, and the sending RFD has to pack and arrange secure carriage (usually TNT secure service under the GTA arrangements) The receiving RFD then needs to hand over the gun, complete the buyer's certificate, and send a notification to the buyer's FLD. £20-£30 to receive in a gun and deal with the buyers paperwork is reasonable, and anything up to £50 from the sending RFD to include the costs of admin and the costs of carriage and insurance. My own rates for third parties guns are £25-00 to receive and £40-00 inc UK mainland carriage to send, but for customers I'm buying from I make no charge, and selling to £17-50 for carriage alone.
