Lakenheath this week?

I want to give Lakenheath a go before shooting the British Open in two weeks time.

 

Anyone else shoot there?

I shoot there occasionally, nothing serious, just a quick blast with my lad. I only live 2 miloes away.

It's a good set up (but i'm not an expert). some good high towers.

It's great for plane spotters if you go on a weekday, but overall it's a pretty average ground, dead flat with a bit of gorse and and a few fir trees, it's run by a skeet shooter, what can you expect..??

 

Save your money and splash out on a day at Hodnet, (West Midlands SG), well worth the extra mileage.

I've been a member there for a number of years. I like it for practice and there is a huge range of targets despite the limitations of the terrain. Planning to pop along and watch how it should be done between 4-6 Sept. Good luck Peter, you can make up your own mind as to how easy it is after the event.

Thanks chaps. I went along last Wednesday and had a look round and shot most of the practice stands. Worthwhile targets despite the afore mentioned terrain. Looking forward to the big day on Saturday.
