Yeah, can you also tell us, since you work with thsoe politicians, why do they think they are above the law and have no grasp of reality how life in Britain really is. You say they have to pander to voters? Well what about pandering to what people are really saying? If they don't give a damn about the voters they might as well enact lax gun laws.

It's because they give a damn about voters (and their phobias/pre-conceived ideas) that there's no way they'll relax the gun laws.

You're the one with no grasp of reality of life in Britain if you think it'll happen any time soon.

You said "An armed society is a polite society".

I'd rather be nice to people because I want to rather than worry if someone's going to draw a gun if I

accidentally run into the back of their car.

Most people are nice to people because they want to, however some yobs don't understand civil discourse and being curteous. Violence and threats are all they know, so they will probably leave people alone if they can't work out who might put a bullet in their A** and who won't.

I don't think it's giving a damn about the voters and thier wishes, it's more like controlling the voters, after all the politicians can do pretty much as they please as long as no one could upset their perfect system of ripping everyone off.
