Mr_Logic
Prvi has its uses but isn't the best ammo. The brass is bearable, but that's about it. That said, my Remington likes the 75gr match stuff. Compared to premium factory ammo, reloading is a LOT cheaper and accuracy is either comparable or better with the reloads. mowdy
The cost of reloading in the larger or less common calibers is significantly cheaper than buying factory ammo Eg i reload 444 marlin component cost's cost of bullets (265gr) £41, powder per lb 1 approx 150 shots per tub £30 , primers £3 ,Dies £25 , bass £40 Total cost £139 cost of 20 rounds Remington factory ammo (240gr) £49 , cost of 100 rounds £245 After you take off the dies and the brass the savings get better still and the brass is good for over 10 reloads the price is then down to £74 per 100 rounds and you still have enough powder for 50 more rounds even if you have to buy a press you will still save money in the longer term ! That is why i reload Bob
Vince Green
yes i have but only for running in the barrel, it grouped about 1 1/4 inch. At what range? I would have thought that was good enough for your needs. Now that your barrel has settled down I would have thought you could better than now with PP. My mate uses PP in his .223 for foxes, he's a professional pest controller and shoots lots of foxes, he is well satisfied at £8 a box. I've give up reloading for my .303 now and only buy PP. It seems about as accurate as my Sunday Best reloads for target work and a lot better than some of the rubbish I have had in the past. Don't get me wrong, if you enjoy reloading thats fine, I was just talking about costs.

If i didnt reload but got groups of 3/4 inch with PP i would probably use them to see how the consistancy was from box to box.
