M ROBSON
Here's a picture of a couple of very young birds next to an adult bird, from our bag of pigeons yesterday. They must be fresh off the nest! Mark.

ShropshireJohn
I always manage to get the young ones Some are worth cutting the Breast meat off, I'd rather leave them to fly and grow into a nice fat Pigeon. But its too late once you've picked it up

utectok
bout 6 of my 25 bird bag today were the same thought they were doves for a min! Cooked them with roast veg and mash ( breast in the pan with salt and pepper) fantastic teenage girls enjoyed them too!

scolopax
Peak breeding season for the woodie is timed to coincide with the harvest, so it is right that there are alot of sqeakers to be seen now. Last time I was home I saw alot of nesting pigeons, usually disturbed from nests quite low down in hedgerows.
