Steve29
Got some UV paint from my supplier as a freebie when I went to get a bunch of gear. He said to paint it on the white parts of flocked decoys to help them stand out as research says that piddys can see it better. Not sure whether to bother. Anyone used it and got any comments? Cranfield
I have used it to touch up neck markings on some decoys and I also use the sillosocks UV jackets on my shell decoys (which are painted with UV paint). Can pigeons see UV colours better ? Apparently, the "research" says they can, but I am not a pigeon so I can't prove that. However, I do know that they make the decoys stand out much better and that gives me more confidence in my layout. If it gives you more confidence, it can't be bad. Tis1979
Hi there, I've tried different uv paints but to be honest i've done better with flocked shell deaks as you buy them.
Steve29
Probably try it on half a dozen then and see how I go, I don't like to waste a good freebie!
ironhorse
I have used UV paint and quite frankly I wouldn’t waste your money, absolute waste of time and money
henry d
Strange, as a friend of mine rates them for days when it is dull. I would imagine it is to do with the UV patches standing out better in dull conditions.
