Myxy is spread by fleas and this means that as soon as the host cools the fleas leave it so carrying the bodies to a burning point isnt going to help much as the only warm thing around is yourself,leave them in the hedge for the carrion and foxes,but it doesnt make much difference to the spread of myxy as the main infection point is in the warrens.

These only come into play when the population increases and the young driven out of the regular sets ,into the older infected warrens,once reinhabited the process starts again until a new boundary is created!!!!

I've seen a dead rabbit with fleas after lying in a garage for 3 days. I've heard many say that the fleas leave the carrier as soon as it cools down, which I'm sure some do but the fleas can most certainly stay on a cold rabbit for days.
