tikka1958 took me out to have a go at clays today first time i have shoot at clays but after some safty tips and best stance for me how to hold the gun i started hitting the clays after a few more hints and tips im shocked i hit any but did ok tikka1958 and the others where very helpfully i cant wait for my next outing and i know i was getting easy clays unlike them who had them going everywhere

went and had a go at shooting clays after being invited by tikka1958 never had a go b4 so didnt think i would hit any but i did ok had a great day out big ty to tikka1958 for putting up with me and giving me a few good tips :good:

ty ian but as said above we need to see a copy of the policy to know what we get for our money plus i had never heard of SACS until i joind this forum not seen any adds in the gunmags in gunshops and with the site not even finished made me wounder a little i think ill spend a little extra sry and go with BASC i dont wanna be going to a farmer saying i also have insurance with these then the farmer saying oh never heard of them nothing against SACS and it is nice and cheap

i also have a Thermos flask it keeps my coffee hot while im shooting and if i have any left when i get home i dont need to make a coffee lol as its hot for aboit 7-8 hours there is some in TJ MAX now for 3,99

how much is SACS i shoot with air rifles at the minute so i was going to go with BASA but now phil from this forum has took me out on his land and let me try the 17hmr and the 22rimfire im going to need to be covered for FAC also as im thinking of applying for my FAC, been on the SACS site no prices on there

sorry forgot but i did say on the train track so you could push you bike get on the train its not far but really we have dog walkers who always pick up roadkill/trainkill i even leave rabbits for them when mrs dont want me to take them home i string them to the barbed wire for them to collect not any deer on my shoots but i think i would of done the same thing not on a bike though lol

theres a few dead pheasants on the side of the train track on 1 of my permissions in whitestake your welcome to but you may need a spade but look on the plus side they wont need plucking :blink:

my mrs shoots with the air rifle MiNE lol she wont even let me sell or swop my ultra as she has claimed it as her gun soon as i get my new 1 lol my sister target shoots air rifle again i know ladys who shoot with the air rifles not to sure about s/g and rifles as im only just starting to get in to them myself

just have a go at lyin at the hedge m8 dont worrie if the wind is blowing in to the hedge as your low and out of the way we lie with the wind blowin right at the bunnys sometimes, dont really matter much to us IF we are still enough lol we still get them coming out but normaly a litte bit more out but we wait they come closer or more out into the field, but im the same when its cold i have little patience half hour of nothing in ice cold wind and im off stalking lol helps me warm up

only just read this post dont know whether its a **** take or not but this happens alot on 1 of our shoots with teenagers and kids with air rifles we now ring the police but it has spoilt our shoot with ppl plinking at anything that moves and some things that dont even signs but the police know the area that well it now takes well over an hour to get them out but they do catch the odd1 and take them upto the farmer (dont try going up to a trespasser lol they are that daft you would probably be shot at) the thing that pee's me off with all this is most of us as said above have worked hard just to get the permission it took us a while to get the 1 im on about here but its also gutting when you have it ruined for you by idiots

as you all know i got to have a shot of a 17hmr the other day well last week and we swopped numbers today phil rang to see if i would like to have a look around 1 of his shoots for some bunnys which was great and very welcomed invite the best part was getting my first shot with a 22 rimfire and got a bunny with a headshot first shot i was so chuffed lol the next bunny was a lot closer and i missed :-( as i didnt aim low enough but again very shocked with how quite and lack of recoil it had i know phil is on this forum i forgot his user name but just wanted to say thankyou again had a great time got tought an easyer way to gut my rabbits :unsure: :unsure: sunday i have been offered to go to a club to have a go at clay shootin which again is something new for me to learn which is great

it wasnt leyland police Station was it sounds like it? we have just been there to ask about how to apply for fac and wanted info on the diffrent class's of fac as we where thinking of just getting the fac for air rifles took 2 officers to find out what we ment then tell us they dont deal with firearms but atleast they gave us the site to apply lol

i have had 2 bsa lightening 1 basic 1 xl both where killing bunnys at 40yards no problem at all though a clean and oil my guns every day lol but the work a treat with superdomes and bisley magnems only problem i had was i had to change the silencer to a hw and other had a swift

dont you have 28day on anything you buy by law? so if its not for you wouldnt you get back what you paid for it?

I went lamping for an hour last night with my brother on 1 of our shoots we have alot of the land up there but there are parts we dont have but last night we met a guy shooting rabbits with a rifle we have spoke to him b4 anyway we got chating for a while and he let us on his land and we got to have a shot with his rifle i was shocked how little it kicked and it wasnt as loud as i thought it would be he did tell us what cal it was but i forgot lol 173 or something like that bullets where only small. ((any1 know what cal this is plz if i go for my fac that is the gun for me)) we swopped numbers so when we are on we can go on each others land as we only shoot with air rifles at the minute and there are fox's and the odd dear on our shoot he has also offered to take us out with him 1 night foxing i cant wait lol i just thought this was a nice thing for some1 to do after meeting some1 twice :unsure:

i have just got a swift for my ultra its great its a copy of the hw silencer i managed to shoot a bunny last night then my brother got the 1 next to it as it didnt even know its bunny friend had just been shot hopefully my kill rate will go up a little now

this topic was not about braggin who has more it was ment to be as a whole we all add to the running total as for it not being accurate its alot better than those of us who guess by eye also my total using the site was only 8 acers out to what is on paper so its not that far out there far Not misleading also it was a bit of fun for us all!

i have had both the webley stingray mkll and the lightening lx both great guns but saying that i had been sold an fac lightening by mistake lol but still was great for the 3 week i had it

I found this site on another forum BSA owners go on its great for working out how many acers you have in total i just worked out how many me xscode and baku share we have 204.477 acers so far why dont we all do i poll to see what all our members have in total so just add your total to the running total the site to work out your acers is .... http://www.freemaptools.com/area-calculator.htm the running total is 204.477 acers

^^ i gotta agree the RWS Superdomes work great Had plenty of bunnies with them the AA fields are good but where i live they are £12 for 400 :blink:
