mick miller
Anyone else tried this organic beer yet? I was introduced to the range by the owner, David Gladwin, during a long weekend stalk in Blair Atholl last week. Probably the tastiest beer I've downed in a long while - and I get through quite a bit. Strangely, despite sinking enough beer to make my eyes start to look in different directions the night before, I could still manage to climb up the hill the next morning without a hangover (much), is this an organic thing or just sheer good fortune? So good I've ordered a 20 bottle party pack for this weekend, I'll be testing the no hangover theory thoroughly with a good friend and report back. Mentalmac
Looks like good stuff. Organic stuff can taste a lot nicer, it's just the costs that usually put me off. May order some bottles soon though to give it a test.
mick miller
The smoked porter was so flippin' tasty, worth trying a few of those. I just can't find anyone that sells it more locally; £9 delivery is a bit much if you only order 12 bottles. If I had more spare dosh I think I'd order two crates at a time. grrclark
My hangover experience differs from yours sadly, have been pie eyed on Black Isle beers many times, but it always murders me the next day, although in fairness any beer gives me a rotten hangover. All in all drinking Black Isle beers are a damn fine way to get a bit squiffy. Edited October 21, 2014 by grrclark

Oh well, I thought I had found the perfect way to painlessly enjoy a session.. perhaps not
grrclark
Fingers crossed that you have or maybe i was just much more wickedly indulgent in my quaffing than you!! We used to have a local organic/eco/music festival near us and the Black Isle Brewery ran the beer tent, it was always a good day
robbiep
We first went to the brewery when it was in the old farm buildings, and they capped bottles with a double hand capper. I'd guess that was about 2002 or so. A lot different now, but the quality is still excellent. Another decent brewery up that way is the Cairngorm Brewery, on the industrial estate in Aviemore. They do great mini-kegs, too.
mick miller
They took delivery of two massive, several thousand gallon vats yesterday so I guess sales are up somewhat on 2002!
