  10. right lads heres, one for you right ive got an x-trail and its bloody brilliant for what it is ....but im thinking of giving it to the missus and replacing her 51 plate peugout 307 1.4 HDI with a motor for me. i used to have a shogun swb but swapped for x-trail coz of baby coming etc etc.....but i miss the ability of the shogun. rite so what do i go for???....2 trains of thought here to be honest 1) suzuki jimny.....its bloody great offroad ( i love suzuki offroad abilities ) and cheap to run etc as 2nd car.....let downs...small as hell but would probably do for what i need. 2) landrover.....never owned one always wanted to canna seem to get em oot o my head..... 3) a commercial pick up/crew cab of some kind....im thinking of advantage here with commercial tax but i dont know what or how it works?? guidance here? what defines a "commercial" qualifingy motor? is it worth considering just for difference in road tax? canna make upmy mind here at all which way to go guys sauer

  16. i really fancy this and dint know if any in my area ( Angus area NE Scotland ) contacted local fisheries and enviromental folks jesus still doint know if we have em in our waters!!!! ( anybody local know) all they kept on bout was licensing and rules....apparently cant even take em away from where caught alive...(legally) have to be killed onsite and they wanted records of numbers dates and full records kept!!! jesus sauer
  17. joe? are you there?? interested in these rests.....any piccies??? sauer
  18. same with a lot of game just be careful you dont dry it out keep it simple for a start so you canget the taste general kinda rule is either is hot n quick......hot pan quick or short period o time frying stir fry etc or slow n low long time cooking with a low heat ....like casseroles or slow cooker enjoy sauer
  19. yeah you can get em cheaper.... think mine was from sausagemaking.org canna mind...19.99 fully adjustable... wafer thin to whoooooaaaaa ther burgers!! splits for washing....cleaning small sits in back o cupboard very proffesional looking results....burger paper down, ball o meat, paper on top ....squish!!!! voila burger 4 of em together in a freezer bag vacuum pack and label and in freezer after all to me anyway this is what its all about...using what you kill for the pot. over n above that...in these days of lips n ar*ehole reclaimed meat burgers.... you know what yer eating and i get great satisfaction taking it from hill/field to the plate. really puts a smile in yer face with the compliments at a bbq and i do try my bit by pushing folks onto merits of eating game. im a relative novice at this too...and i love seeing other folks putting up their attempts and they all look great!!!! sauer

  21. welcome to the club!!!! once youve starte you canna help but thinking bout new flavours to try. venny sausages with god knows how many types o flavouring bunny bangers mind plenty pork shoulder or pork belly in em!! with again hundreds o falvours!!! etc etc etc!!! linkin em is good fun but not too esential ... i was lucky butcher stays across road showed me how to do it..... i just used to make one big long sausage then pinch n twist em and cut em into batches o 6 then into a freezer bag and label em!!! here was my first attempt at linking earlier this year i bought a cheap burger press think it was 20 quid and burger papers and wow!!!! your imagination is the limit and half the fun experimenting some o favourites so far venison & cranberry ( 6lbs o meat with 2 jars o ocean spray cranberry jelly thrown in ) venison & spring onion ( 5 bunches o spring onion food processed till mush then thrown in) vensison & wholegrain mustard vension & garlic n herb ( just grated garlic up and hand ful o dried herbs) bunny burger & bbq sauce ( tescos own smokey bbq sauce thrown in etc etc enjoy its addictive!!!!!!!!!!!!! sauer
  22. it is a good idea to do this course even as a novice. it will give you good insight into safety for one thing and youll enjoy it. that said..... it angers me that forces are no insisting on this before they will grant an fac.. it is NOT A LEGAL REQUIREMNET!!! if thats going to hold back your fac .... contact your shooting organistion your affialted to be it BASC OR NGO or whatever.. ( everyone should have basic cover these days in my opinon) and tell them and they shouyld contact your local firearms dept.. on your behalf... its bout time all these forces started working to the guidleines they have and not what THEY feel should be the case. sauer
  23. kite mark only !!!!! ********!!!! mu old man made a gun cabinet from sctratch ( blacksmith by trade) feo commented on it not being approved but after he saw that was made with thicker plate than the standard bought cabinets. also had "jimmy proof" hinges and extra locking he backed down. why if everyone of em across country is supposedly working to same guidelines are they all vastly different ? who the hell is "policing" them to ensure uniformity? i also hate it when some forces are saying you require minimum DSC1 before they will issue say .243 for deer but will aloow a .223 for foxes no probs......whats the difference??? safety still counts so does animal welfare !!! DSC1 is NOT A FIREARMS CERTIFICATE COMPULSORY CERTIFICATE. they demand you have it then contact your shooting organisation that your affilated to and get em on it!!! no bloody common sense!!!!!!!!!!! hope you enjoy your left handed semi auto.. i bought my webley & scott 810C in left hand and its never let me down in three yrs!!!!! wouldnt consider firing a right hander now with shells ejecting across your face. sauer
