    Welders flash

    Learn to weld properly!!!
  3. Last one that a couple of us shared was a very thirsty little car. Unstoppable off road but used lots of feul at low speeds off road and maintaining a decent on road speed rusulted on using plenty feul to!
  4. Got a disco 3 as every day car and used off road alot. Got a Jimney shooting wagon. Jimney wins hands down off road, will go any where and don't have to worry about it to much. Not as comfy but alot less chance of sinking in fields!!!

    BSA R10

Thanks for all the replies. I bought the gun last week and must say that I can't fault it. I doesn't have the shrouded barrel on it, not sure which one it is! The accuracy seems spot once it was zeroed and does the job I bought it for very well. It has a SAK mod on it and is very quiet indeed! Cheers, Mark
  6. A bit late to be asking this isn't it?
  7. Pump received. Top bloke to deal with no problems. Cheers.

    BSA R10

I'm used to a bit of recoil with my .243 and my home loads! I'll see the gun tomorrow or the weekend and see what they are saying. The whole idea of the PCP is for at a stable for clearing doo's, some of the horses don't even like the noise of the spring, the last PCP I heard with a good mod on it was impressively quiet! Good to know about your Ultra's if I'm unsure of the R10 I might just get one of those on order.

    BSA R10

I was originally looking at a BSA ultra multi shot, but you know how it is when you start looking at things and you miss your original point of what you were wanting and go OTT instead! The gun in question is going to be a 2nd hand one that's getting traded into a local gun shop tomorrow (with an upgraded barrel???). They have a limited stock of air rifles(springers), and only a couple of FAC PCP's. The shop owners opinion on air rifles are that if you want one buy an HW35! which I have, but wanting to go PCP instead.

OK thanks for the opinion. Hear good and bad stories about them all except the hw100!

    BSA R10

Does anybody have any experience with or opinions on the BSA R10?? I was thinking of getting one. Cheers, Mark
  13. (awaits comments of "it's nowhere near as good as a defender" but to be honest, if I wanted to be so bloody uncomfortable I'd buy an off road vehicle that had tracks and a barrel on the roof!) Have to agree with all above. My last on was on Grabber AT2's. They were good off road and in the snow and you could push really hard on the tarmac and they seemed good. My new new one is on scorpions and haven't had a chance to try it off road yet since I only got it on Saturday! But I think I'll be getting smaller wheels and AT2's! Disco3.co.uk is full of good advise and alot of guy know there stuff. I had a few minor problems with my last one but I would say they were just wear and tear as you'd get with any vehicle over time.
  14. I like my D3 so much I'm just waiting for the number transfer to go through to get my new one!! Personally I think there really good. Real comfy for long distance at good speeds, massive amounts of room inside, can tow good weights at any speed!! Can carry 7 people incomfort! Once the heated seats are fired up or the air con blasting (if the snow ever goes away) there a good mile muncher. I think there well impressive off road too. The defender crew will shoot me down with the fact that there not as good off road as a defender, which they are not due to weight, but I think you'd be suprised at how good they are. The fact that you can drive big miles in comfort at a decent speed all day I think makes it a better all round motor. Defenders are awsome if your maily offroad and aren't doing much road miles! (except the bruised elbow).
  15. Can I see a wee dent on it??????:yp:???
  16. Totally agree with you. And the D3 can be driven for great distance in comfort, without bashing your right elbow all the time!!!
  17. I have one. Recon its really good. Got Grabber at2's on it and it goes anywhere. I have had it stuck 2 times once was a dig out with a spade the 2nd was towed out wth a tractor! Both were in stubble fields after weeks of rain at night while lamping so not sure there's many other motors that would of stood a chance (except the tractor!!) The other benafit is it will happily sit and eat motor way miles at speeds which will put lots of points on your licence! Heated leather seats or aircon blasting its good all round, comfy, good going, and good off road. Had a couple of runs to deep england with towing trailers round tripped non stop (except fuel). So impressed with my one I'm looking for a new one with less miles!!!
  18. Cheers for the reply (may still consider it). Got my mind set on a harkila pro hunter set up, but you wouldn't beleive how hard it is to give your money away in my neck of the woods, had a bad days shopping!!!!
  19. Does anybody have the above suit? Is it any good? Mostly interested in how water proof it is? I notice it has "seetex membrane" and was wandering if it is the same as the jakti jakt "air tex membrane" which is useless!! Was out beating today and got a real good soaking thanks to my jakti jakt suit. Not impressed.
  20. I have one, great gun especially for walking around with. I changed to it from a 686e and prefer the ultralight. Not really had any problems with it kicking (I'm 5' 5" 10stone). I would say if you run out of cartridges and take 250 32g 5's to clays and fire them non stop you do start to feel it!!! But 30g 6's on a busy driven day all day long with no problems!
  21. Cheers for all the help so far. I think I'll take all the loads I have so far and average them out and start from there as has been suggested. I'm sure I'll have a million more questions to anoy you guy with though!!!
  22. Ye but I have 1kg of 160 sitting!! And it wasn't cheap!
  23. Would anybody know of or have data for loading .243 Hornady 75gr v-max with vihtavuori N160???
